The ArteraAI® Prostate Test is the first AI-based test to provide personalized prognostic and predictive insights to support treatment decisions for patients with localized prostate cancer.1–3
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test is a multimodal artificial intelligence (MMAI)-based test designed to support personalized treatment decisions for patients with localized prostate cancer. By analyzing digital images of existing prostate biopsy H&E slides (hematoxylin and eosin-stained slides) together with clinical information, the test provides personalized insights into how the cancer may progress and into the potential benefit of specific treatment approaches. The test uses the patient’s existing biopsy tissue, with no additional biopsy required, and provides prognostic and predictive information to support more informed, individualized treatment decisions.
ArteraAI® benefits both clinicians and patientsAcross risk groups, the test provides personalized prognostic information, including the 10-year risk of distant metastasis (DM) and the 10-year risk of prostate cancer-specific mortality (PCSM), helping clinicians assess how aggressively the disease may behave.1–3
For lower-risk patients, the ArteraAI® Prostate Test can provide additional prognostic insights to support active surveillance decision-making and help identify patients whose individual risk may warrant earlier treatment.
For intermediate-risk patients being considered for radiation therapy, the test can help predict whether adding short-term androgen deprivation therapy (ST-ADT) to radiation therapy may provide a therapeutic benefit.2
For patients with very high-risk, non-metastatic disease, the test can provide additional information to help assess whether adding abiraterone to long-term androgen deprivation therapy (LT-ADT) and radiation therapy may provide benefit.7
For high-risk patients, the test can also help assess the expected benefit of long-term ADT in combination with radiation therapy.6
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test provides prognostic and predictive insights to support more individualized treatment decisions, including:
10-year risk of distant metastasis (DM)
10-year risk of prostate cancer-specific mortality (PCSM)
Prognostic insights to support active surveillance decisions (low, favorable-intermediate risk)
Prediction of ST-ADT benefit with radiation therapy (intermediate risk)
Prognostic insights to support abiraterone benefit (very high-risk, non-metastatic)
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test provides personalized prognostic and predictive insights across NCCN risk groups, supporting treatment decisions according to each patient’s individual clinical profile.1–3

The ArteraAI® Prostate Test (Biopsy) is intended for adult men with localized prostate cancer without clinically or pathologically defined metastatic disease.
Eligible patients should be candidates for curative-intent management, which may include surgery, radiation therapy with or without systemic therapy, or active surveillance.
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test uses multimodal artificial intelligence to analyze digital images from the patient’s prostate biopsy together with relevant clinical information.
By combining these two types of data, the test can identify patterns associated with disease progression and treatment response, providing individualized prognostic and predictive insights.
The technology has been developed and validated using data from multiple randomized Phase III clinical trials and additional patient cohorts.1,2,4–7
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test uses the patient’s existing prostate biopsy tissue, with no additional biopsy specifically required for the test.
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test is included among the Advanced Prognostic Tools in the NCCN Guidelines for Prostate Cancer.
The guidelines reference the use of multimodal artificial intelligence (MMAI) in intermediate-, high- and very-high-risk prostate cancer, including evidence relating to the prediction of benefit from androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and abiraterone.8

The ArteraAI® Prostate Test report varies according to the patient’s clinical risk profile. View the sample reports below to see the information provided for each risk group.
Where is the ArteraAI® Prostate Test performed?
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test is developed and performed by Artera using its multimodal artificial intelligence platform.
Genekor Medical S.A. acts as an authorized distributor of the ArteraAI® Prostate Test and coordinates the necessary procedures for test ordering and sample handling.
Is the test covered by my insurance?
For information regarding insurance coverage please contact us at: +30 210 6032138.
In how many days will my results be available?
Results are available within 5 business days.
What type of sample is required for the ArteraAI® Prostate Test?
The ArteraAI® Prostate Test uses the patient’s existing prostate biopsy specimen. Digital histopathology images of H&E-stained slides from the biopsy are analysed together with relevant clinical information using Artera’s multimodal artificial intelligence platform.
Is an additional biopsy required?
No. The test uses material from the patient’s existing diagnostic prostate biopsy and does not require an additional biopsy specifically for the analysis.
Does the test consume tissue?
No. The ArteraAI® analysis is performed using digital histopathology images and does not consume tissue during the AI analysis.
Can a patient order the test directly?
The test is ordered by a qualified healthcare professional. Patients interested in the ArteraAI® Prostate Test should discuss whether the test is appropriate for them with their treating physician.
How do I make the payment for the test?
