Position “GBIOINFO”

We are looking for an ambitious bioinformatician to join Genekor’s Bioinformatic team to work on current projects and collaboratively contribute to the analysis of several data.

Job Description

• Carry out appropriate and detailed routine analysis of NGS data

• Work independently and in collaboration with other lab members for the design and development of computational workflows, in silico analysis methods, and databases

Candidates’ Specification Essential:

• MSc and/or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or similar discipline

• Solid experience in genomics and analysis of next-generation sequencing data

• Knowledge of programming: Perl, Python, SQL, PHP, R

• Strong background in SQL and NoSQL Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB

• Strong statistical analysis skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills with a high level of attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• Understanding of molecular oncology and molecular genetics

• Good theoretical background in molecular biology

• Good theoretical background in Machine Learning

• Familiarity with data engineering practices (e.g. Apache Airflow) and web development frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Streamlight)

• Publication record in peer-reviewed journals

A plus:

• Experience with analysis of NGS data from genetic testing in Oncology (germline, somatic), Neurology and/or Cardiology

• Experience with WES/WGS data analysis

• Experience with front-end web development

Full -time Customer Service Representative position based at our Czech Republic Offices in Prague. (Entry Level)

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers/ affiliates via phone, email and chat.
• Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about products, costs, logistics and availability.
• Work with internal departments to meet customer’s needs
• Invoicing
• Data entry in various platforms
• Coordination for receiving and returning specimens
• Medical Result distribution
• File Organizing

Qualifications

• At least 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience
• Excellent phone etiquette and verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
• Fluency in English
